NO POSTINGS FOR AWHILE


I am so sorry I have not posted, I am up to my arm pits with grandkids, I am in oregon taking care of my daughter in law Linsay, who is expecting baby #4, she is 27 weeks along and on bed rest, it kills me not to blog or submit recipes , I have not even been able to work on my book, it is all on my computer that I left at home for my husband to use. Please be patient, I will be back ,

well many of you have asked if I had my own cook book, even my own family, so I figured why not? so as of today I am going to write a cook book, it will be a combination of my blog recipes and recipes from generations back, there will be color pictures of the food and pictures of those submitting the recipes, there will be humerus stories on how we were given the recipes especially from generations past, I am at the gathering stage right now, trying to see what goes where, cover, costs, etc. There will be no plagiarism at all in this book, so if you submit a recipe I will thoroughly check to see if any one has printed it before ,I will also add a copyright to this blog and pictures and all recipes that I make, if I don't put a new recipe on this blog every few days you know why, I have been inundated from companies wanting me to do reviews and giveaways, so from now on I will only be doing 1 review & giveaway every other week, and for those who submit a recipe or cooking advice you will all receive some type of gratuity( to be determined later) all your comments are welcome especially if you have written a book in the past any little bit would help! thanks pam

ANCHOR BAR BUFFALO WING SAUCE/GIVEAWAY!



I was contacted by FRANK & TERESA'S, to do a review on their ORIGINAL ANCHOR BAR BUFFALO WING SAUCE, they also sent an extra bottle for a giveaway. this sauce is amazing! My chicken wings are always asked for when ever we go to a party, but I use Franks red hot, so this time I cooked them the same way as I always do but I tried FRANK & TERESA'S sauce, holly cow, this is amazing, it has a different kick than we were used to, the one they sent me was medium, which at first yes it was a bit tangy, I don't even like pepper its too hot, but after the second wing yea buddy they were so good. The sauce is thinner than all the other sauces I have tried, and the sodium content is lower than most, so I give it a big OKIE DOKIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SO HERES THE RULES FOR THE GIVEAWAY

HOMEMADE ANGEL FOOD CAKE & BLACKBERRY'S

I NEVER GET TIRED OF MAKING THIS RECIPE, BUT YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS EXACTLY, MAKING ANGEL FOOD CAKE HAS CERTAIN TRICKS FOR TURNING OUT PERFECT, HERE'S SOME RULES FOR THAT PERFECT CAKE: SEPERATE THE EGGS CAREFULLY, IF THERE IS ONE SPOT OF YOLK IT WILL DEFLATE THE BEATEN WHITES, DO NOT OVER BEAT THE WHITE MIXTURE, DO NOT ADD THE SUGAR TOO LATE, ADD SUGAR WHEN THE SOFT WHITE PEAKS BEGIN TO FORM. FOR THE BLACKBERRY'S ON TOP, I WASHED THEM VERY WELL( I HAD JUST PICKED THEM) I PUT THEM IN A BOWL WITH SUGAR AND MASHED THEM FOR A BIT LET THEM SIT TILL JUICES FORM, ADD MORE SUGAR TO TASTE, HERE'S THE CAKE RECIPE:


1 1/2 C EGG WHITES ( 12 EGGS ARE JUST ABOUT RIGHT)
1 1/2 C POWDER SUGAR
1 CUP FLOUR
1 1/2 TSP CREAM TARTER
1 TSP VANILLA
1 C SUGAR

CRACK THE EGGS AND LET THE WHITES REST FOR 30 MINUTES TO WARM UP A BIT, NOT CHILLED. MEANWHILE SIFT THE POWDER SUGAR & FLOUR, YOU MUST SIFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ADD CREAM OF TARTER & VANILLA TO EGG WHITES BEAT WITH MIXER TILL SOFT PEAKES FORM, SLOWLY ADD IN SUGAR, BEAT TILL STIFF PEAKES FORM, SLOWLY FOLD IN FLOUR & POWDER SUGAR DO NOT BEAT IT IN FOLD IT IN, POUR INTO UNGREASED ANGEL FOOD PAN BAKE @350 FOR 42 MINUTES, LIGHTLY BROWN ON TOP, TURN PAN UPSIDE DOWN ON COKE BOTTLE OR LET IT STAND ON ITS END
